An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system is a crucial element of a hospital’s power supply infrastructure when Isolated Power Supply systems (IPS) are installed within the theatre or critical area.  

 

Industry standards such as HTM06-01 requires that in areas where isolated power is installed (Group 2 and Clinical Category 5 areas) there must be an alternative power source able to kick in instantly. The Uninterruptible Power Supply will provide instant emergency power to critical areas if the mains power supply was to fail until the generator kicks in, ensuring the industry regulations are met.

We are also able to fully integrate your UPS into your Theatre Control Panel (TCP) allowing full control of the system from a central interface. Alarms can be set up on the TCP, which will alert clinical staff of any electrical faults.
